In 1999, Sara Dornacker, a senior staff representative for Onboard Services at United Airlines and Georgia Panter Nielsen, Association of Flight Attendants-CWA International Historian, both with careers as Flight Attendants at United Airlines, began an allied effort to co-author Flight Attendant history, at the invitation of United’s Corporate Communication’s Division.

Nielsen, a published author with expertise in Flight Attendant union history and Dornacker with decades of managerial experience, delved into original research to present this insightful look at Flight Attendant history for the website at united.com.
